THE Unified National Competition (CNU), one of the most innovative recruitment initiatives for public positions in Brazil, is about to take place. With a significant number of candidates and a comprehensive scope of tests, this competition represents an important step in the modernization of selection processes for federal public servants.
Organized by the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI), the CNU aims to simplify and speed up the hiring of new employees for various government institutions.
In this context, the guidelines for submitting documents and logistical details are crucial to ensuring the validity and order of the exam. The following will cover the main aspects related to the process of identifying candidates, the format and conduct of the exams, and relevant information about the locations and the publication of results.
Documentation for Identification

To participate in the Unified National Competition, all candidates must present an original, valid identity document with a photo. The requirement is strict: certified copies or photographs of the document will not be accepted. The Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) specifies that only original documents, such as ID, driver's license or e-Título, are valid. This rule aims to guarantee the security and authenticity of the identification of participants during the selection process. Candidates must therefore ensure that they have the correct document in hand to avoid any impediment when entering the test room.

Use of Digital Documents
The CNU also allows the use of digital documents to identify candidates, an innovation that seeks to modernize and facilitate the process. Digital documents such as the e-Title, the Digital National Driver's License (CNH) and the digital RG are accepted. In order for these documents to be accepted, candidates must present them through the official applications or the Digital Document Wallet available on the Gov.br portal. It is important that the application is downloaded and working correctly before the day of the test, and that the cell phone has enough battery to avoid any problems. MGI recommends checking the application's operation beforehand to ensure a smooth experience on the day of the exam.
Competition Details and Test Locations
The first edition of the CNU, known as the “Enem dos Concursos” (CNU of Public Exams), aims to centralize and optimize recruitment for federal public servants. The test will be held in 228 cities, with the selection of 6,640 new civil servants for 21 federal public agencies. The exams will be held in two shifts next Sunday, with specific times for opening and closing the gates. In the morning shift, the gates will open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 8:30 a.m. In the afternoon shift, entry will be from 1 p.m., with the gates closing at 2 p.m. It is essential that candidates check the times according to the time zone of their locations. The test locations are available for consultation on the Registration Confirmation Card on the Gov.br website, and, although it is not mandatory, it is recommended to bring this card to facilitate access and confirm the details of the test.
The Unified National Exam represents a significant step in the modernization of selection processes for public servants in Brazil. With clear requirements for identifying candidates and a well-defined exam format, the organization of the exam aims to ensure efficiency and equity in the recruitment of new civil servants. The use of digital documents and the wide coverage of cities for the exams are aspects that highlight the modernity and inclusion of this selection process. With the final results expected for November 21 and the call for successful candidates starting in January 2025, the CNU promises to be a milestone in federal public administration, reflecting an effort to improve the capacity and effectiveness of government agencies.
