Possible specifications

A teaser video posted by Reddit user JB2unique in July highlights the Xperia 5 V in gray, white, and blue with dual cameras, a headphone jack, and a notchless display with slightly thick top and bottom bezels. The thickness is just enough to accommodate the front-facing speakers.

THE Sony cell phone It looks modest compared to the solid Xperia 1 V announced last May, but this model should be amazing. With the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and up to 16GB of RAM, it doesn't fall short of the latter.

The unknown battery has been certified in China, confirming the existence of 33W fast charging. In addition to Android 13, the Xperia 5 V could offer a 6.1-inch OLED screen, full HD resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, two 12MP cameras, if it follows much of the record of its predecessor.

Passage through the FCC

With Sony's Xperia 5V set to launch later this year, the model recently went through the FCC, the North American equivalent of Anatel. The documents suggest the existence of a device identical to last year's model, especially in terms of processor and design.

Following the announcement that Sony would launch it on September 1, the Xperia 5 V has received some additional technical information confirmed by Geekbench. The existence of this launch and possible specifications have been circulating in the press for some time now. Sony's new device was spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform.

Dubbed the XQ-DE54 platform at the time, the new Xperia 5 V is expected to feature a higher storage version, which is also expected to launch on the 1st. As seen in a leaked image, Sony's yet-to-be-released model scored 2,004 in the single-core category and 5,059 in the multi-core category. The results are similar to those seen in other companies' flagships announced with the same chipset, such as from the Samsung brand or Motorola.

If expectations are met, Sony will broadcast the Xperia 5 V launch event online through its official YouTube channel. Those who wish to watch it can simply access the video app on the aforementioned date. It is worth remembering that the time has not yet been announced by the company. Therefore, we can only wait for the launch day to see what the company has in store for us in terms of technology and quality of the new phone.
