Learn about the Korean brand's launch and understand its pros and cons.
After the huge success of the Galaxy S20 FE, the brand's mid-range S series devices are eagerly awaited by users worldwide. At the moment, the market is expecting not only the launch of the Galaxy S23 FE, but also another version of a device with a lot of potential, the S21 FE.
The “almost new” model was silently launched by Samsung in India on Monday, the 10th, with new specifications. Even after two years of its official arrival, there were many rumors about what the updated version of the device would be like, and some were confirmed. Read more and discover the features of the new S21 FE.

Main changes
The model maintains the same look and color range. The most significant change is the chipset, that is, the processor. This is where the first disappointment comes in for users. The decision to replace the Exynos 2100 chipset, which was heavily criticized at the time, with the Snapdragon 888 was not well received. This processor has been on the market for 2 years now, so there are already superior versions. Therefore, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 or 8 Gen 2 would be better for increasing the device's power.
After carrying out tests, experts discovered that both processors worked similarly on the Samsung phone's GPU. Another controversial finding is that the Exynos model offers longer battery life.
Additionally, the new S21 FE did not receive a good software update promise. Samsung reported that the cell phone will only be updated up to Android 14. This information is worrying, as the device appears to be running Android 12, but users were expecting that the updated device could receive Android 15 or 16.
One change that was well received was the increase in memory. The new version comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. A variant with these specifications had already been launched in Brazil, but with the old processor.
It remains the same 6.4-inch AMOLED screen, with Full HD resolution. In addition, it has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The triple camera set, with a 12 MP main rear camera and optical image stabilization (OIS), 12 MP ultrawide and 8 MP telephoto.
Furthermore, the battery 4,500 mAh also doesn't change, delivering the same power, with 25 W fast charging via wire, 15 W wirelessly and 10 W when reverse charging.
It is worth it?
For the model with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, the price in stores that already have the device available in India is 49,999 rupees. In Brazil, by direct conversion, without counting taxes and fees, it would cost approximately R$2,950. However, there is still no forecast for when the 2023 Galaxy S21 FE with Snapdragon 888 will be launched in Brazil.
If this price is charged, it is worth checking to see if there are other better or even top-of-the-line options for the same price. Some optional models, for example, could be the Galaxy S20 and S20 FE, which are in the same range.
