Check out the list of devices that will soon lose access to the app. The change will be caused by a lack of updates.
The WhatsApp app is very practical for everyday use, as it makes sending instant messages easy. The platform is popular all over the world, and in Brazil, it is the most used app. However, some Android device users may lose access to the app in the coming days.
The news was revealed by major news sites, which confirm that the platform will stop working on more than 30 smartphone models soon.
If you use cell phones with the Android operating system, check the list of affected models and find out the reason for this shutdown on your devices.

Operational stoppage
WhatsApp, an application that has more than two billion users worldwide and is the most used application in Brazil, may stop working on several models of Android cell phones. Some models have already noticed the change since last Monday (31).
This shutdown will occur due to a lack of updates to the devices' operating system, as the application will only be compatible with models running Android 5.0 or later. Currently, compatibility is with Android 4.1 and 4.4.
In this case, with the change, devices with Android versions below 5.0 will no longer receive updates to the app, preventing its use. This change will also affect iPhones with iOS 12, such as the iPhone 6 or its predecessors.
Compatibility
When an app is no longer compatible with an operating system version, whether Android or iOS, users of these devices can no longer update the app and fix system errors, in addition to losing support in general. This ends up compromising the app's functionality on the device, preventing it from being used.
Although some devices have already started to suffer from the problem, the Goal, the company responsible for the application, reported that WhatsApp's compatibility with Android 5.0 will only be superior to Android 5.0 starting in October of this year. The company, however, did not explain the outage that began to occur in July in some models.
These changes in support from WhatsApp happen every year. Last year, the app stopped receiving support on iPhones with iOS 10 and iOS 11.

According to the website Olhar Digital, the devices that will soon lose support for the application include:
