Learn more about this device from the Chinese brand. It promises to be a big name among mid-range devices.
The Realme C55 has finally been launched in Brazil. For those looking for a mid-range smartphone with a lot of quality and features, the brand's model can offer interesting specifications.
In addition to the huge 6.72-inch screen, which we'll talk about later, the smartphone has its own version of Dynamic Island. Called Mini Capsule, this system was previously designed with an Apple phone, occupying the top part of the phone and acting as media controls. It also has the function of displaying interactive shortcuts to system notifications.
Despite being a distinct novelty, this phone may be left out of the list of those looking for a 5G-compatible option. The version sold in Brazil is not equipped with this technology, which may cause the Realme C55 to fall behind competitors in the same price range. Read on to learn more about the device.

Slimmer design
As mentioned, the Realme C55 is a large device, with a 6.72-inch LCD screen and Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400). Its refresh rate is 90 Hz, a number that allows your device to respond faster to use apps. Furthermore, the screen size and good resolution of the images displayed make it a good choice if you are using the device for entertainment, whether watching videos, movies or playing games.
The device has a rounded finish with sides that resemble the traditional iPhone 14, and the organization promises that it is an ultra-thin model with a thickness of 7.9 mm. In addition, there are volume buttons on the side and a fingerprint reader on the power button. On the back, both lenses appear in high relief, in a prominent design area, with a discreet flash and an eye-catching shooting camera.
Camera game
Talking about the phone's camera setup, users can find two rear lenses with a 64-megapixel (MP) main sensor and a 2 MP lens for depth of field. The smartphone does not offer optical zoom when taking photos. But it makes up for it by offering an LED flash that helps record Full HD videos at 60 fps.
For those who love taking photos with the front camera, the selfie lens has only 8 MP. This makes the device a little weak compared to some of its competitors, which already offer up to 32 MP.
Completing your camera experience, the Realme C55 offers several photographic resources. This includes AI-powered beautification, filters, scene recognition, and color portrait. The selfie camera also features scene recognition to help with image post-processing.
Storage and battery
The Realme C55 uses the MediaTek Helio G88 octa-core processor clocked at up to 2.0 GHz. This component ensures smooth and conflict-free daily use for tasks that do not require much from the devices. The smartphone comes with 8 GB of RAM (can be changed to up to 16 GB in the Plus version) and storage is available in 64, 128 or 256 GB options, expandable up to 1 TB via microSD.
The battery is also a highlight of the smartphone with 5000mAh. Thanks to this, you can leave the phone powered for up to two days, depending on the type of use. The device also supports 33W fast charging and the organization promises a charge from 0 to 50% in just 29 minutes. It is worth remembering that it takes about 63 minutes to fully charge using the 33W charger. Even with 5% of battery left, Realme guarantees that its Ultra Energy Saving mode will keep you connected for up to 32 hours when the smartphone is in standby mode.
Android version and additional features
The C55 smartphone comes with Android 13 and the Realme UI 4.0 interface provided by the manufacturer itself. The so-called mini capsules that replace the device's notch serve as a useful feature, but they are not as complete as the iPhone's dynamic islands. Among other things, you get information about the charging status, low battery warnings, data usage, steps and distance traveled. However, you will not see a summary of the applications used in the background, for example. The device also has Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, NFC for payments and the rare P2 headphone jack.
Another highlight is a new effect that changes the color of your device according to the lighting in each environment. According to Realme, the Glitter Sand process combines several textures and multiple overlays to create a three-dimensional effect when exposed to sunlight. The smartphone is available in Brazil with an average price starting at R$1,028. In addition to the new Rainforest color, it is available in black and Sun Shower (which means “sunbathing” in Portuguese).
