Music service
Have you ever thought about switching from your default music service, like Spotify, but don’t know where to start? If you’re an Apple customer, you should take advantage of the company’s new offer of a free 3-month trial of Apple Music.
To participate in the promotion, which runs until August 21, simply open the streaming service's app on your iPhone, iPad or Mac. Offers will automatically appear if you are eligible, otherwise they will be available in the “Listen now”. Then tap/click the banner and click “Try Now” to enjoy the app’s 100+ million songs and features like spatial audio and high-fidelity playback (no bass loss).
But be warned, according to Apple, this offer is only valid for new customers. At least in theory, even users who already accessed the service through an Apple One or Family plan will not benefit. The new promotion may seem like a strategy by Apple to capitalize on the recent redesign of its main rival, Spotify, which went into effect this month, in which the service increased its price.
How to redeem
To redeem the benefit, you must have a credit card linked to the Apple ID used for media and purchases. After the 3-month trial period, you will be charged your standard Apple Music subscription rate unless you cancel before then. The Apple Music catalog includes over 100 million songs and over 30,000 playlists, most of which support spatial audio (Dolby Atmos) and ultra-high-quality lossless audio. For music lovers classic, there is a dedicated app with over 5 million songs in a simplified interface.
If you want to keep your subscription after the trial period, there are three types of subscriptions in Brazil: university (R$11.90 per month), individual subscription (R$21.90 per month) and family (R$34.90 per month). If you're not a customer, you can use the service for free for a month. It's also part of the company's Apple One subscription package.
Spotify Change
Music service Spotify has increased the price of its subscription plans, the change came into effect last Monday (24). This change affects users in Brazil, the US and several other countries. The price of three of the four subscription models has changed. The “Individual” plan now has the price of R$ 21.90, plus 2 reais. The “Duo” plan went from R$ 24.90 to R$ 27.90. The “University” plan went from R$ 9.90 to R$ 11.90. The only model not affected by the price increase is the “Family” plan, which has up to 6 accounts and still costs R$ 34.90.
