Tips for entrepreneurs. Check out how to use your cell phone to issue invoices.

Since January 2023, Individual Microentrepreneurs (MEIs) can now issue Electronic Service Invoices (NFS-e) via their cell phones. This procedure can be carried out through the NFS-e Mobile application, which also allows you to consult documents already distributed and check records that have not yet been transmitted.

To issue invoices via smartphone, users must first register on the National NFS-e Issuance Portal to generate an access code. See how below.

How to issue the note?

Neste link ( https://www.nfse.gov.br/EmissorNacional/Login?ReturnUrl=%2fEmissorNacional) você deve inserir seu CPF ou CNPJ para criar uma senha. Depois, basta responder com as informações solicitadas relativas aos dados pessoais ou empresariais.

Next, you will be asked to provide your MEI number, as well as proof of income tax return (if necessary). The next step will be to specify a contact email address, where the user will receive a code to fill in on the platform and validate the registration. After completing this step, the MEI must return to the portal to report data on the company's economic performance.

Before accessing the application, you must click on “Settings”, fill in the personal information fields and under “Estimated tax amount”, select the option “Do not enter any estimated tax amount”. Next, the user must click on the “Services” icon, adding the services provided by the company. Once this is done, it is time to access the NFS-e Mobile application, available for Android and iOS. When connecting, the user must provide the CPF or CNPJ and the same password registered on the National NFS-e release portal.

On the platform, the user must click on the “NFS-e Issuances” icon, enter the customer’s CPF or CNPJ and the type of service provided (e.g.: haircut or technical inspection). This section will display information previously saved as favorites on the portal. Finally, simply fill in the amount to be released on the invoice to complete the process. The system also allows NFS-e to be issued even without Internet access. In this case, the application will report the absence of a data connection and request that the generated invoice be sent to the municipal authorities as soon as the connection is reestablished.

What is DAS for?

The guidance for the Simplified National Collection Document (DAS) usually expires on the 20th of each month. If companies fail to submit the reports, or do not pay the document, they will be subject to fines and interest. Federal Revenue. This document is a unified payment guide for all taxes owed by entrepreneurs who have opted for the Simples Nacional tax regime.

For those who don't know, payments must be made monthly for micro and small businesses included in the Simples Nacional, which vary according to their income and the tax regime to which they belong. In the case of individual microentrepreneurs (MEIs), DAS payments provide access to Social Security benefits, such as retirement, maternity, salary and medical leave, as well as family guarantees, such as survivor's pensions and compensation for imprisonment.

How to issue and pay the DAS?

The issuance of the DAS is a little simpler in the case of MEI. In this method, simply access the DAS Individual Microentrepreneurship Program system on the Simples Nacional website, enter the CNPJ, click on “Issue Payment Guide (DAS)”, select the calendar year and then the calculation month.

For micro and small businesses, this guide is also published on the Simples Nacional portal. However, it is necessary to have an access code or digital certificate and fill in some information, perform calculations and follow the instructions on the screen. DAS payments can be made by direct debit, online payment or by bank slip, ATM or lottery outlet.
