Screen and design

The Redmi 12C, from Xiaomi, has a 6.71-inch screen with HD+ resolution of 1650 x 720 pixels and 500 nits of brightness. It has the “Reading Mode” feature, which allows you to make the screen brightness softer, reducing the incidence of blue light, to make reading more comfortable for the eyes.

The back of this phone has a diagonal texture that grips your hand better and can prevent drops. The model can be purchased in Brazil in dark blue, graphite gray, light green and lilac. The front of the device has a teardrop-shaped notch that houses the front camera and thick bezels around the screen. It has well-rounded corners, a curved back and straight sides.

Camera

The phone only has a 50 MP main camera and an auxiliary sensor for “Portrait Mode” photos. The phone’s front camera has 5 MP, which provides a simple set, without many options for the user.

Despite this, according to information available on Xiaomi's official page, the model has Artificial Intelligence to help with image corrections and Night Mode and HDR Mode functions.

Storage and processing

The smartphone comes equipped with the processor MediaTek G85, with options of 3 GB, 4 GB and 6 GB of RAM and options of 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1 TB with an external memory card.

Battery

The battery of this device has a capacity of 5,000 mAh, which is enough for a period of up to 34 hours of voice calls, 20 hours of video playback and 13 hours of gaming, according to information from Xiaomi itself. The model comes with a 10 W charger.

System and extra features

The device has face unlock and fingerprint sensor, which is located on the back, which is close to the camera lenses. It comes out of the factory with Android 12 under the MIUI 13 interface. One problem is that Xiaomi's entry-level cell phones are not being updated to the latest versions of Android.

Price

The phone arrived in Brazil for the price of R$1,399 in the 128 GB and 4 GB RAM version, which is still the price offered in the brand's official store. However, it can be found on the Amazon website for prices starting at R$693.
