MIUI 14 runs ALL APPS at 120 Hz: understand

Learn more about Xiaomi's new update. It promises to improve the fluidity of apps.

MIUI 14 can run all apps at 120Hz refresh rate. The latest update for Xiaomi 12S Pro released in China brings the feature to the device. The new feature can be found under Screen frequency settings in the Settings menu.

Enabling the option will open a list of the user's installed applications and require a high refresh rate to be enabled for each application. Typically, it should operate at 60Hz, although higher frequencies are supported in some applications. This additional feature allows the system to let these applications take advantage of higher speeds to provide smoother navigation.

Installing the build will upgrade your system to version V14.0.10.0.TLECNXM. In addition to the new features, the package also includes the August 2023 security patch.

Gradual implementation

It is likely that other Xiaomi phones will also be equipped with the new features in the future. The new version of MIUI 15 should also support this feature, just like MIUI 14. However, it is impossible
predict when a new feature will be released on more phones or if it will actually be released. For now we will have to wait for more news.

The Xiaomi 13T is powered by a Dimensity 8200-Ultra processor with 8GB or 12GB of RAM, while the Xiaomi 13T Pro has a Dimensity 9200+ and is sold in 12GB or 16GB RAM options. The battery in the lineup is 5000mAh, but the 13T Pro model is the only one that supports 120W fast charging. The standard model supports up to 67W. Xiaomi 13T Camera Xiaomi is more economical with two main camera resolutions. Instead of focusing on a 200MP sensor, the manufacturer adds a 50MP 1/1.28-inch lens with optical image stabilization (OIS) and f/1.9 aperture. The second sensor, the telephoto sensor, also has a resolution of 50MP and f/1.9 aperture, but the lens is 50mm. The third ultra-wide camera has a 12MP, 15mm, f/2.2 aperture. The selfie camera is also the same for both. It is a 20MP sensor.

Variable storage

Long support time

However, the Xiaomi 13T line is sold with Android 13, so it is last year's system. One of the updates is definitely to Android 14, which should be released this year.
