A day after Apple announced the launch event for its new iPhone, Google leaked an image of its new phone, the Pixel 8 Pro. The image was posted on a Google Store page and was only available for a short time. The photo, which has since been deleted, showed a man holding Google's new porcelain model.

The text on the image said that the photo showed “a person answering a call on a porcelain Pixel 8 Pro.” In the photo released, the phone looks very similar to the one in previous leaks of the prototype model.

The photo leaked by Google shows that the model's rear camera is located under a glass panel and a metal bar that covers the horizontal part of the top of the model. The “G” logo from Google is in the central area of the device, just like in the previously leaked images.

In the image, it is also possible to see that the man is wearing a smartwatch, which is possibly the Pixel Watch 2, as the design is slightly different from the previous model.

Announcement

The images, however, do not reveal the technical specifications of the smartphone, which according to rumors, will have a new processor, the Tensor G3, 128 GB and 256 GB of storage and changes to the camera and user interface.

Launch

Following the leak, Google announced this Wednesday (30) the date of the event to present its new devices. The “Made By Google” event will take place in New York on October 4th at 11am Brasília time.

The company must officially present the Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 Pro, in addition to the new Pixel Watch 2 and the event will be broadcast live on YouTube.

iPhone 15

Apple announced on Tuesday (29) that the launch event for its new iPhone 15 will take place on September 12th, at 2 pm, Brasília time, in Cupertino, California. In addition to the new cell phone, the brand should also officially present iOS 17 and the new Apple Watch models.

The invitation sent by the company shows the Apple logo in blue, gray and black, which may suggest the color options that the new line of iPhones will have. It is expected that the new phones will not have many changes in their appearance, but apparently, all versions should feature Dynamic Island technology, present in the Pro and Pro Max versions of the iPhone 14.

According to rumors, the biggest change could be the Lightning port, which could be replaced by a USB-C input, following requirements made by the European Union, as this would make it easier to charge the device, which could be compatible with most chargers on the market.

The more robust versions of the iPhone 15 are also expected to undergo improvements and present a price increase. The company is also expected to introduce its new Series 9 smartwatches, with 41 and 45 mm screens, as well as a new version of the Apple Watch Ultra.

Apple's event will take place at Apple Park, and will be broadcast live on the company's official YouTube channel.
