Desenrola Brazil App
Guilherme Mello, Minister of Economic Policy at the Ministry of Finance, explained that Desenrola Brasil will be an application for people negotiate debts and consult discounts offered by lending institutions.
Minister Mello stated that the debt can be paid in full, through Pix or in installments with interest of up to 1.99% per month.
The secretary also explained that applications based on the gov.br system would collect data from various credit agencies and show the amount of debt and discounts offered by creditors.
Regarding debts of up to R$100, Mello noted that financial institutions participating in Desenrola had to remove the names of these debtors from the negative list, which showed those with unpaid debts. As a result, they no longer have a line of credit, but they still agree to pay what they owe.
The system is great news, given that in Brazil, there are currently 77.9% of the population in debt, according to the National Confederation of Commerce of Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC). These people will be able to negotiate their debts much more easily and under better conditions.
