Learn tips to avoid losing any of your cell phone's features. Don't waste time.
There’s nothing more fun than enjoying your first day with a phone, right? Everything seems to work in a flash, there are no app crashes, and every new feature we discover is like getting a gift.
However, as time goes by, the memory gets smaller, the system gets old and everything becomes more and more disappointing. But it doesn't have to be that way, the device can be used in an optimized way, even if it's a few years old. So, keep reading and check out some tips to get the most out of your smartphone and avoid irritations.

Block spam
One of the biggest pain points is when you get to the point where you start getting 730 calls a day, knowing that basically all of them are telemarketing or some kind of scam. So what’s the best way to prevent or minimize this problem?
If you have an iPhone, go to the “Settings” tab, click on “Phones”, select the “Turn off unknown calls” option and leave it enabled. For Android users, the trick is to go to “Call settings”, click on “Caller ID and spam protection”, and turn the switch to “On”.
Longer lasting battery
There are times when the battery doesn't work the same way it used to. When you're traveling with a low battery and need it more, it's an inconvenience that almost every smartphone owner in the world has experienced.
Typically, most devices have a sleep mode low energy consumption for these situations. Otherwise, you can turn on airplane mode to limit it to basic functions and save battery. You can also turn on both of these features at the same time.
Free up storage
One feature built into today's phones that not everyone knows about is the free storage feature that marks apps and files that take up too much space and slow down the device's performance.
On iPhone, this feature is available in the Settings tab. Just tap “General,” then “iPhone Storage,” which will show you a graph of files using the most space. It will also show you suggestions for freeing up storage space. On Android, tap “Settings,” then “Storage.” Click “Free up space” in this tab to see which apps you can uninstall to restore your device’s performance.
Get rid of cookies
One of the reasons your phone is crashing more and using up more memory is because of the “cookies” that apps store. And what are they? Every website you visit uses text files called cookies to store information about you. To clear this information, open your smartphone’s web browser, click on “Browsing history” and then click on “Clear browsing data”. Don’t forget to check the boxes that explain Cookies, site data and/or cached images and files.
Disable tracking
One thing that is often overlooked about your phone is how much it knows about your life, including every place you visit. That's why experts recommend clearing your history and disabling the location sharing.
On your iPhone, go to Settings, then Privacy and Security, and tap on Location Services. Once you’re in that tab, tap on “System Services” and then “Significant Locations.” There you can find all the data about where you’ve been and even clear the history. For Android users, to turn it off, simply swipe down, tap and hold the ‘Location’ icon.
