iPhone 15 Pro Max: second best camera on the market
THE iPhone 15 Pro Max The iPhone 15 Pro is Apple's latest flagship phone. Launched in September 2023, the phone features greater zoom capabilities than the previous generation and the iPhone 15 Pro. The changes come with a third sensor, 12 megapixels, which comes with a lens and is equivalent to 120mm.
The main camera also ensures visibility. This component can capture images of up to 48 megapixels, providing more detail in the images. That leaves only the second sensor, a 12 megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens. The phone came in second place with 154 points in the ranking of photography website DxOMark. This model is the second model from the company to cause a big stir in China, after the Huawei P60 Pro.
According to the website's analysis, the phone displays HDR photos on the screen, drawing attention due to its excellent brightness and contrast. And the new generation of Apple phones can reach a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits, a higher value than previous models. Balanced exposure even in low light is another highlight. The list of advantages also includes pleasant and natural reproduction of colors and skin tones, excellent detail in bright lighting, fast and accurate autofocus and effective video stabilization.
But not everything is perfect. In low-light shots, noise appears in the image. Reviewers also noted some unwanted artifacts, including flare, ghosting, and aliasing. Also on the negative list is the fact that the image has a slightly limited dynamic range and details are inconsistent across all zoom ranges.
The Google Pixel 8 Pro
This phone has a camera with a resolution of up to 50 megapixels. Pixel phones have been making waves in terms of photography for several years now. As expected, Google has brought the Pixel 8 Pro, which ranked fourth in the DxO Mark ranking. This is because, in addition to the basic 50-megapixel camera, it has a 48-megapixel sensor equipped with ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lenses.
That said, as the site's review shows, the smartphone manages to deliver good information at all zoom and macro settings. You should also note the pleasant colors in photos and videos in all lighting conditions. Beautiful and accurate skin tones, as well as fast and accurate autofocus for photos and videos. However, the Google Pixel 8 Pro sometimes leaves something to be desired. During testing, reviewers occasionally experienced loss of fine details and textured areas. Portrait mode, which uses the famous bokeh effect, also suffers from segmentation errors.
