Tool promises to make your smartphone faster. And best of all, it's free.
When we buy a new smartphone, one of the crucial points is speed. At first, most phones deliver fast performance, but as time goes by, the device begins to have difficulty opening applications, even basic ones. This is a nightmare for users, who don't know what to do to restore the full functionality of their phone and make it faster.
A lack of speed can occur for several reasons, such as lack of memory space, an outdated version of the system or an excessive number of applications. However, to help you, we are going to share a 'secret' function that can make your device faster, crash less and perform better. Read on and find out.
Fast cell phone
Do you want your phone to be faster? Then you need to know about RAM Plus, a feature found in devices from manufacturers such as Samsung, Xiaomi and Motorola. This function uses free RAM storage memory to expand, improve device performance and use heavy applications.
Galaxy S23 Ultra and Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G are among the models with virtual RAM feature. Activation is done in the device settings and requires a reboot. See the step-by-step below.
How to Enable RAM Plus on Samsung Phones
Step 1. Go to “Settings” and scroll down until you reach “Device & Battery Help.”
Step 2. Click on “Memory”, there will be the virtual RAM option. On your Samsung phone, its name is RAM Plus. After opening the menu, just activate the function.
Step 3. You can choose how much internal memory you want to convert to RAM. The 23-inch Galaxy Ultra comes in 2GB, 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB options. Other models may have less storage.
Step 4. After making your selection, restart your phone to make it faster.
How to activate on Xiaomi and make your phone faster
Step 1. We Xiaomi devices, RAM Plus is a bit more hidden. Go to “Settings” and scroll down to “Additional Settings.”
Step 2. Again, you can choose how much memory to convert to RAM. The Redmi Note 12 Pro is available in 2GB, 3GB, and 5GB options.
Step 3. After selecting the value, restart your phone.
You can change the behavior or disable RAM Plus on both devices. Perform these steps again and restart your device. Note: Changes can only be made if there is enough space.
Bonus tip
Another tip to make your phone faster, if it is not one of the models above, is to clear the cache. The cache is where temporary files are stored, such as website scripts, for example. The device archives this data so that the user has faster access to it when visiting it again, speeding up the execution of programs.
However, too much data increases the space allocated to the cache, making the device slower. To clear the cache Just follow these steps: Go to “Settings”; Then “Storage” and then “Clear”. By clicking this button, the cached data will be deleted.
On some cell phones, this function may be in “My Device”, then just go to “Storage” and, right after, “Cached data”.
