Preliminary information suggests that this device could belong to the Moto G or Moto E line, as it has the model number XT-2417 and looks very simple.

Rumors about the new cell phone

As far as we know, the front of the device has a screen with thick bezels and a hole for the selfie camera. On the back, there is a camera module with two sensors and an LED flash. The main camera has 50 MP and is listed on the body of the device. The Motorola logo remains on the back and is in the center, with the buttons on the right side.

One important detail is that everything indicates that the fingerprint reader is integrated into the power button. Finally, although it is not possible to see it in the leaked image, we must assume that the device has a USB-C port at the bottom and a P2 port for headphones at the top. Motorola is currently not commenting on the leak. Therefore, we still do not know which line this smartphone will belong to. In any case, by design, it can be considered just a more affordable phone from this brand.

Latest release

Speaking of which, a new Motorola model Moto G54 is finally here. The company announced the Moto G54 on September 5th in two different versions in China and India. The device is already available here in Brazil, but only in the brand's official store. The price of the 128GB version is R$1,499.

Moto G54: specifications and operating system

In China and India, where Motorola's new mid-range model arrived first, the Moto G54 came to stores with Android 13. If this happens again in Brazil, at some point, you will need to update your operating system to Android 14.

The device sits between the Moto G53 and the Moto G73 and features a 6.5-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution, 2400 x 1080p, 12 Hz frequency and 240 Hz touch sampling rate. In practice, this allows owners to have a more immersive and fluid experience when using the device.

Internally, this model is made up of a Dimensity 7020 processor. RAM and internal storage vary by country. In Brazil, the version came with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Different models of Motorola G54

The main differences between the two Moto G54 are in terms of camera, battery and internal storage. Both models have a front camera with a resolution of 16 MP and two rear cameras with a resolution of 50 MP. The difference lies in the associated secondary sensor. The Chinese sensor has 2 MP for depth detection, while in India it will be an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor (with a wider horizontal field of view). The Brazilian version followed the Chinese one.

The battery is also different. In China, the Moto G54 has 5,000mAh and 15W charging. In India, it delivers 6,000mAh and 33W, for a significant increase in power. In this regard, the Brazilian version is also the same as the Chinese one.

This is also reflected in the screen dimensions. The Chinese and Brazilian device is 8.04mm thick and weighs 179.9g, while the Indian device is 8.89mm thick and weighs 192g. But beyond the camera, the changes that will probably attract the most attention from consumers are those related to the device's internal storage.
