See which Xiaomi devices will receive Android 14. Check out the main new features of the system.
Xiaomi has started rolling out the Android 14 update to some of its phones. These changes come just days after Google officially announced the new version of its operating system.
The Chinese company has made the Android 14 update available for select phones, just a few days after the official launch of Google's operating system. Xiaomi was initially one of the first manufacturers to make updates available for its smartphones, after the Google Pixel. The Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 12T models are among the first to receive the new version of Android in the MIUI interface.

Who has access?
Users who sign up for Xiaomi’s beta program will get to experience a range of optimization features, including improved power management, camera improvements, and enhanced privacy protection. But be warned, not all phones from the above models will get access to Android 14 out of the box. Eligible users will receive a notification.
The Chinese giant was one of the first manufacturers to make updates available for smartphones, right after the Google Pixel, shortly after its official launch. According to the XiaomiUI website, the models that come with the latest version of Android are: Xiaomi 13; Xiaomi 13 Pro; Xiaomi 12T. Android 14 runs on Xiaomi phones with MIUI interface (conceptually similar to Samsung's One UI).
Android 14
Google took advantage of the Made By Google event, which was held last Wednesday (4) to officialize the launch of Android 14. The successor to Android 13 has rolled out to Google's own Pixel devices and will be available on more phones from other brands later this year, the company said.

System news
You can now set up custom shortcuts on your lock screen to quickly access features like the QR scanner and the Google Home app. The current system is more “customizable,” allowing you to easily switch between wallpapers that can be generated by artificial intelligence (AI).
Additionally, you can enable the monochrome theme which will provide cooler colors throughout the system. Another feature means that when an app requests access to your location, you will be notified when the app is sharing this data with third parties, so you can allow or deny the transfer.
Android 14 also supports Ultra HDR images, a technology that creates high-resolution photos without altering their original quality. According to Google, this new feature “helps your photos look their best with brighter colors, more visible highlights, and darker shadows.”
Google says Android 14 is smarter when it comes to connecting and interacting with hearing aids, allowing users to quickly access hearing aid controls using shortcuts on their phone. Additionally, for people with hearing loss, this new system will allow them to activate the “Flash Notifications” feature, which will make your phone’s flashlight blink when you receive a notification.
