The project has been in the company's plans for a few years, but it hasn't come to fruition yet. Will it happen now? Find out everything!
Last year, rumors emerged that Apple would invest in a subscription service for iPhones, and many people were excited about the news, which was announced by journalist Mark Gurman, from the Bloomberg agency. People were excited because Mark anticipated secret news from the company, giving scoops, which in fact happened.
However, the news given by the journalist has not come to fruition so far, and many are wondering whether this will still happen or whether Apple's plans will never come to fruition. Will they? Find out the details of this rental service now and find out if it will actually happen.
iPhone Rental
According to the journalist, the company would create an iPhone rental subscription plan, and that the company was looking to start this service between March and April of this year, but so far, nothing has happened in this regard.
The manufacturer's initial plan would be for this new feature to be announced in 2021, with the launch of the iPhone 13, or in 2022, with the iPhone 14. However, the company justified the postponement of the plans by stating that there were technical setbacks, which led to slow progress and missed deadlines.
At the time the rumors emerged, the company's plan was to make iPhones and other branded devices and equipment available.
The journalist who broke the story revealed this year that the project was facing financial difficulties to get off the ground and that the company was starting a platform that would support the subscription service, called Project Breakout.
This platform would include checks, authorizations and transaction records, functioning as a sort of central data repository shared with financial services partners affiliated with the brand.
The subscription service would work like a device rental, where, despite monthly payments, the cost of the device would not be divided over 12 or 24 months. Subscribers would pay a monthly fee that would be determined according to the model of the device chosen.
New service
Now, Apple is developing a new program, the Apple Pay Monthly Installments service. The program is set up as a monthly installment system, allowing users to purchase devices in installments over a certain period of time.
However, there is no further information about the company's projects and whether they will actually come to fruition in the coming months or years.
iPhone 15
One thing about the company is certain! It is working on iPhone 15 and other products that should be launched in September, in an event that should take place on the 12th. On that occasion, in addition to the new 15th generation iPhones, the company should also present news on iPad, AirPod, MacBook and Apple Watch.
The new line of iPhones is highly anticipated by fans of the brand, who didn't like the 14th generation that much, and are expecting several changes in the new models.
Among the main new features are the changes that should come with the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which according to speculation, will be the brand's most powerful cell phone. It should arrive with a new design, a more advanced screen, the A17 Bionic processor, the brand's most current, and a 48 MP main camera.
With the new changes, the price of the device should also increase a lot. Around US$$200 more or less R$1,000, compared to the brand's current models.
