Connection on multiple cell phones

It is now possible to connect up to 5 different devices to the same WhatsApp account. Thus, there is an original device and four others that are auxiliary. These other four devices can be computers, cell phones or even tablets, according to the user's preference or need.

Swipe navigation

Another interesting feature that has recently arrived is “swipe navigation”, where now, by dragging your finger from outside the screen to one side, it is possible to move from one tab to another. This feature can make things much easier if the user wants to browse communities, groups and contacts or see the statuses posted by their contacts.

The new feature, however, is available in beta version and is only released to android cell phone. On the iPhone, dragging the conversation to the side marks it for archiving or deletion.

Talking “alone”

Another new feature available is the option to chat with yourself, and it is great for those who want to store information and exchange files from one device to another. To use the function, simply send the photo, message or document to your own contact and open it in other device, such as a computer, and download the image there. This way, if you lose the data on your cell phone, you have it on another device.

Silence unknown calls

Another important feature is the ability to silence unknown calls. If you are tired of receiving calls from unknown numbers, there is now an option to silence them, allowing you to stop receiving them. Using this function is very easy. Just go to “Settings”, “Privacy”, “Calls” and check the option to not receive unknown calls and that’s it.

Favorite messages

You can also favorite messages within the app, allowing you to save an important message so that you can access it easily and more quickly. To do this, simply press the message and click on the star that appears at the top. To find the favorited message, click on the three dots on the app's home screen, click on “Favorite Messages” and that's it.

In addition to these functions mentioned, WhatsApp has also been testing other tools in its beta version, which also promise to make the application even more functional and complete. Other new features include sending high-resolution videos and photos, creating groups in communities, new filters in conversations, sharing history to other devices via QR Code and changes to the application's interface, which will make conversation boxes more rounded and with smaller fonts and the connection to WhatsApp Web with the phone number, without needing the QR Code.
