YouTube Create
Google announced this Thursday (21) a new application that will run simultaneously with the YouTube video platform. The announcement is part of a series of improvements in the app revealed at the Made on YouTube event.
The service, called YouTube Create, is a video editing app for tablets and smartphones that lets you quickly crop, add effects and publish the results. It’s the equivalent of CapCut for TikTok, which is already hugely popular.
How will this tool work?
YouTube Create is a mobile video editing app. It has a traditional clip maker interface that allows users to add video files to the timeline and edit their content. You can add color filters, animated GIFs, and stickers. One great thing is that you can add soundtracks directly from the app. audio library free from YouTube.
The most interesting thing is that YouTube Create uses artificial intelligence (AI) to sync music to the moments in your video that best match the beat of the song. In addition, the tool also has a noise removal feature and adds subtitles automatically. You can create multiple videos that already exist on the platform that are recorded vertically (in YouTube Shorts format, i.e. 9:16).
The YouTube Create app is free and currently only works on Android in beta, with an iOS version scheduled for release in 2024. Initially, the app will only work in eight regions: the US, UK, France, Germany, South Korea, India, Singapore, and Indonesia.
So far, there is no official information about the arrival of the new tool in Brazil. However, experts and technology enthusiasts hope that, after the testing period, Google will expand the feature worldwide.
The small hands of AI
The new mobile editor is just one of the new features YouTube is offering. The company also announced Dream Screen, a tool that generates AI-powered backgrounds for YouTube shorts using only text commands from the user.
The AI also acts as an audience analysis assistant for your channel, suggesting topics, lists, and ideas for new videos based on the viewer's taste. These features are also in the testing phase and will be implemented on the platform gradually. However, like the video editor, there is still no forecast for when it will arrive in Brazil.
