Manufacturer may invest in cell phone with high-resolution camera, with sensor manufactured by Samsung. Find out everything about this new feature!

Xiaomi is one of the world's leading manufacturers of electronic devices and is well-known for offering the best value for money to its consumers. The Chinese company has long focused on high-tech phones with great cameras and batteries, at more affordable prices that fit users' budgets. However, it also has high-end phones with higher prices and features that leave anyone speechless. Now, the company can bet on a Redmi phone with an incredible 432 MP camera.

According to the first information released about the smartphone, it would come with a new sensor from Samsung. Leaks show that the South Korean brand would be working on a new line of camera sensors, consisting of the ISOCELL HW1 and WH2. The biggest difference between the two sensors would be their dimensions. Xiaomi's new phone is expected to arrive with the HW1 sensor, while the HW2 could appear in other phones from other brands.

New sensors

The HW1 sensor should have a diagonal size of 1/1.05 inches, with 0.56 μm pixels. This means that it would present very sharp images in good light conditions, as well as offering good quality at night or in darker places.

The HW2 would be more compact, with 1/1.07 inch and 0.5 μm pixels. Despite this, this size is still larger than that seen in most high-end cell phones on the market.

The new cell phone is expected from Xiaomi come with the ISOCELL HW1, while the HW2 may appear on phones from other brands.

432 MP sensor

It was initially said that the new 432 MP sensor would arrive in the successor to the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, in a line that usually brings more advanced cameras. Currently, the model has a 50 MP sensor from Sony, with one inch.

The component would be reused in some device in the Redmi line, but it has not yet been revealed exactly which model that would be. However, it is expected to be an “Ultra” device, possibly the successor to the K60 Ultra.

There are still no plans to use the HW sensors in any Samsung model. According to recent rumors, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 should keep the same ISOCELL GN3 as the current generation, while the Z Fold 7 would come with an S5KHP5 sensor that has not yet been presented by the manufacturer.

Rumors have already suggested that the Galaxy S26 Ultra line may arrive with 320 MP sensors in its main camera. However, as there is still a long way to go until the smartphone's launch, it is not yet possible to have precise information about it.
