The highly anticipated new feature is currently in the testing phase and should be available soon in the app. Find out all the details!
The use of WhatsApp has made it easier for users to interact with each other, both for personal and professional matters. As a result, the app has been making several updates, bringing several new features and improvements that are making life even easier for those who use it frequently. And to bring even more functionality to the platform, WhatsApp has been testing a new feature. Find out what this new feature is and how it will work below!
News
THE WhatsApp is testing changes in the Beta version of the app, which should soon reach all users. The first change, which is highly anticipated, appeared in version 2.23.14.10 of the app, and offers the option of sending videos in high resolution.
When the new feature is implemented, users will be able to choose the quality they want for their videos before uploading them. Two options will appear on the screen: standard quality, which takes up less space and uploads faster, and HD quality, which takes up more space and delivers superior quality. However, it is important to note that the video must be of sufficient quality for the option to appear.
HD videos will be marked as such in the conversation, so that the recipient can choose whether to download them or not, so as not to use up too much of their mobile data.
WhatsApp is also testing a feature for sending photos, where users can choose the resolution when sending. The feature is expected to arrive on the app soon.
More changes
An even more recent version of the app is also in the testing phase, and should bring changes to the application's interface, making the alert boxes more rounded, with smaller fonts and buttons.
