How to Listen to Deleted Audio on Android

Android is the most “versatile” operating system when it comes to recovering WhatsApp audio messages and offers many ways to access the audio.

Notification History App

The Notification History app can help you with this by capturing the backup. Here you can use the tool to view the content of the text and audio messages deleted by the sender of the file. This app is only available for Android and requires WhatsApp notifications to be enabled for it to work properly. Additionally, while installing the app, you must also allow access to notification content in your phone settings. If everything is okay, follow these steps to listen to the deleted audio.

Step 1: Open notification history (Android).

Step 3: Tap on the deleted audio message. That's it, now just listen to it.

Google Drive

If you have deleted conversations with deleted audio files, you have the option to save your messages using the latest WhatsApp backup stored in Google Drive. To do this, you will need to uninstall WhatsApp and reinstall it. Once this process is complete, do the following:

Step 1: On the main screen, select the desired language and press the arrow icon.

Step 2: Click “Agree and Continue”.

Step 3: Enter your mobile number and tap “Next” and “Ok”.

Step 4: Enter the code sent to you via text message and press “Continue”.

Step 5: Press “Restore”.

Step 6: Double tap the “Next” button.

Then, you will have to wait until WhatsApp restores everything stored in the backup file. At the end of the procedure, find the desired conversation and see if the audio can still be played.

It's also important to note that restoring from Google Drive restores all data saved up to the date of your last backup, including deleted audio and audio messages removed from your phone's internal memory.

Local backup

Additionally, you can also access audio files from Android's own internal storage. The downside to this method is that you have to play the files one by one until you find the desired message.

Additionally, if your phone does not have a player that reads files with the OPUS extension, you will need to download the Opus Player app (Android) to play the voice message. Check out how to access your files.

Step 1: Access your file browser program.

Step 2: Tap on “Internal storage” and “WhatsApp”.

Step 3: Tap on “Media” and “WhatsApp Audio”.

Step 4: Copy all files to the “Internal Memory” folder.

Step 5: Tap the desired file and select Opus Player to play it.

If you want, you can directly connect to OPlus Player and check all the audio that is automatically detected during installation.

How to listen on iPhone

Users who use the WhatsApp on iPhone You can use the latest iCloud backup to save the deleted audio. To do this, you need to uninstall the app and install it again. After that, you should follow the steps below:
