WhatsApp Payments

WhatsApp It is an easy-to-use application that greatly helps in interacting with other people in our daily lives, whether for personal or professional matters. We cannot deny that the application has several very useful functions and has been bringing new updates constantly to further improve its use and user experience.

With this in mind, WhatsApp launched a feature some time ago that allows users to send and receive money through the app itself, without having to open a banking app. With this feature, WhatsApp aims to bring more convenience to users, who can do everything through the platform.

Announcement

It's very easy to use, but you first need to know if your financial institution is a partner of the payment service. WhatsApp Pay currently works with debit cards from Inter, Banco do Brasil, Bradesco, Mercado Pago, Itaú, Next, Nubank, Santander, Sicred and Woop.

The WhatsApp feature is similar to the Pix system, where the money leaves the account of the sender and is credited to the recipient's account, without fees. However, for the transaction to work, the recipient must also have their account registered in the system, as well as the payer.

Careful

The app has already stated that the payments feature was created for transfers between friends and family, in person, and for the purchase of goods and services, and not for receiving money for sales.

If the user receives money from sales outside of the “Receive payments for sales” function on WhatsApp Business, their account may be blocked.
