Intercel from Banco Inter is a new telephone operator launched by the financial institution. Inter's cell phone plans start at R$25.00, and in all of them you have internet without interruptions, make local and long-distance calls to any operator, and receive cashback on top-ups.

Despite being recent, Inter already has a long history. It began with the financial company Intermedium CFI, founded in 1994 in the city of Belo Horizonte. Its initial objective was to promote Real Estate Credit operations, but the company ended up consolidating itself in the Payroll Credit markets.

At the end of the following decade, in 2007, real estate credit operations were reopened and real estate refinancing became the main product in the portfolio. The following year, they received a charter from the Central Bank and were authorized to operate as a multiple bank.

A few years later, at the end of 2014, Banco Inter launched Conta Digital, a completely free checking account that can be accessed via computers and cell phones. Intercel Ombudsman

InterCel's ombudsman department is a department of the company dedicated to listening to customers. It is the department responsible for solving problems that have not been resolved through other, more traditional means. It is the last resort for resolution.

About Intercel

Portability

To transfer your number from another operator to Intercel, simply send an SMS message with the word PORTABILIDADE to 393 or call our Central by dialing *077 from an Intercel phone or (11) 3133-1958 from any other operator.

Portability will only be completed successfully if your Intercel chip is active, that is, linked to your CPF. In addition, you need to enter the correct number you want to transfer from the other operator. This number must have the same area code as the Intercel number you purchased. It is also important to remember that both lines, the one from the other operator and Intercel, must be registered with your CPF.

In some cases, portability cannot be completed due to a different CPF, a non-existent number with the other operator or unpaid post-paid line debts.

How do I purchase one of the Intercel plans?

– I am not a customer yet:
You can sign up for Intercel plans through the Inter Store, an online store available in the Shopping section of the Banco Inter Super App. When you purchase your plan, you will receive a prepaid chip at the address you provided and you must activate it to start enjoying the benefits of data, calls and SMS messages. If your device is compatible, you can also opt for the virtual chip. The entire amount paid upon signing up will be converted into the benefits of the chosen plan, and there will be no charge for activating or purchasing the chip. You can change your plan at any time by recharging it for the amount of the new plan you want. Simply access the option “Cell Phone Top-Up”, within the Super App Banco Inter.

– I am already a customer:
To renew your Intercel plan, simply top up your account with a value compatible with the desired plan. Access the option “Cell Phone Top-Up”, within the Super App Banco Inter, When you top up and sign up for a new plan, while the current plan is still valid, the validity and benefits of both will be accumulated. Our systems will now display the name of the plan you signed up for last.

How to recharge an Intercel number?

Recharging is quick and easy, just follow the steps below:

  • Access the option“Cell Phone Top-Up” in the Super App Banco Inter
  • Choose the operator Intercel
  • Fill in the phone number with area code twice
  • Choose the date for the recharge and click on Confirm"

Payment for the top-up is made via debit from a current account, so the customer must have an available balance when carrying out the steps above.

What are the additional benefits of Intercel plans?

– Free WhatsApp: With Intercel plans, you can use WhatsApp for text messages, photos and voice calls without using up your internet data plan. This benefit is valid for the 30 days of the plan’s validity, even if your data plan is used up. To download and send videos and to make and receive video calls, data consumption will be normal.
