What is Emergency Aid?

Emergency Aid is financial aid given to the following workers: informal workers, individual microentrepreneurs (MEI), self-employed workers and the unemployed.

This benefit was a way the government found to offer support to workers who were affected by the Coronavirus pandemic crisis or COVID 19.

The amount offered to workers is R$$ 600 paid over three months for two people who are in the same family. For families where the woman is the head of household, the amount paid by Caixa will be R$$ 1,200.

Insured individuals who comply with the Single Registry by March 20 will receive assistance without needing to register on the Caixa website.

However, people who are not registered in the Single Registry by 03/20, but who meet the requirements to receive the aid, must register on the Caixa website or through the Application Google Play or App Store.

After completing the registration, it is possible to track the order through the Caixa website or app.

Please note that insured individuals who already receive Bolsa Família may apply for the benefit if they give up the Bolsa Família benefit. They will not be allowed to receive both benefits.
