New technological screen is a partnership between Lenovo and Motorola. See more!
In a video on YouTube, Luca Rossi, president of Lenovo, shows a Motorola phone with a “rollable screen”, something that fans of the brand have been waiting for. To use it, simply place the device horizontally, which increases the size of the screen. You can also return it to its original size with a click. You can do the same with portrait mode.
The president of Lenovo IDG, the PC, tablet and smartphone division of the Chinese group, which, for those who don't know, owns the Motorola brand, said that the image looked like a trick, but was actually a prototype. Rossi says that the device is not ready for sale yet. However, in about a year and a half it will be the first on the market with this technology. Keep reading to find out more.

Roll-up screen
The “rollable screen” device shows Lenovo’s commitment to competing in the smartphone market with rivals such as Samsung in Korea and Apple in the US. Building a brand reputation among consumers is an important strategy. Furthermore, creating innovative products that become objects of desire for people and gain preference when making a purchasing decision is essential to this work.
The company has invested in models such as the Motorola Razr 40, which has a foldable internal screen and a smaller external screen that allows the user to access the device's main features. Software innovation is another area that is being improved. The company has invested in a line of Thinkphones that use proprietary software to connect to Thinkpad laptops. The CEO explained that customers do not need to do anything. In this case, everything that happens on the phone is reproduced on the laptop and vice versa. It is an ecosystem experience.
The group has two factories in São Paulo, Brazil. Lenovo PCs and servers are manufactured in Indaituba. Motorola cell phones are manufactured in Jaguariúna. Production is entirely destined for the local market. The decision to expand the factory depends on the growing demand in the country. Currently, Rossi said there are no immediate plans to increase capacity.
Thinkphones
Motorola has announced the opening of a “Motorola for Business” zone to expand its presence in the B2B market and serve the needs of companies of all sectors and sizes. To celebrate the regional launch, Lenovo ThinkPhones was presented in Brazil. This smartphone focuses on productivity and performance with strong and durable specifications.
In addition to IP68 certification and Gorilla Glass Victus, the device features aramid fiber and aviation-grade aluminum construction. The highlight, however, is the Think 2 Think connectivity, which delivers fully compatible integration with Lenovo's ThinkPad line. The device comes with Office 365, Outlook, and Teams applications already installed and is compatible with the new 6 GHz and 5G Wi-Fi standards for faster Internet connectivity. So you can use it as a webcam for video calls and share the Internet with your computer quickly. With a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, 6.6-inch FHD+ screen, and battery life of over 36 hours, the ThinkPhone features a 50MP camera with Ultra Pixel technology to capture images with greater precision. The recommended price is R$ 5,499.
