Sony

Sony has reduced its operations in Asian countries, including Japan, parts of Europe and the United States, but has not stopped manufacturing cell phones. In Brazil, however, the company stopped manufacturing smartphones in 2016, after losing financial incentives from the federal government. Despite this, the company was no longer very popular, especially after the growth of brands such as Xiaomi and Huawei, which offered more affordable prices.

As a result, the company exited the mobile phone sector in Brazil, the Middle East, Central America and South America. In addition to the mobile phone market, the company also stopped selling televisions and audio devices in the country.

Xperia Line

The brand's Xperia line is focused on photography and is updated to the current two with top-of-the-line devices and premium mid-range devices focused on in photos. Therefore, the models tend to be more expensive and less competitive.
