Among these platforms is Spotify, one of the main ones and is present all over the world.
And to cheer up the platform's users, a high-quality version of Spotify may finally be launched soon. After years of the music streaming platform's announcement, a user managed to find lines of code in the app with details of what may be the platform's HiFi plan, with a likely price 33% higher than the traditional subscription.
The platform announced in February 2021 that it would follow its competitors by also offering high-quality music playback, HiFi. After more than two years of waiting, a user now appears to have found evidence of this plan in the Spotify app, called Supremium. In it, playback appears as 24 bits/192 kHz, the same as that found on CDs sold on the market.

In February 2021, Spotify decided to follow the same pattern as its competitors and showed interest in having a very high quality version for broadcast of the songs. Until now, there had been no news about the launch of the plan. However, a Reddit user named Hypixely found evidence of this new service in the app that accesses the platform.
According to the data found, Spotify will call the plan Supremium and it will be capable of playing music in 24 bits, ensuring that there will be no delays due to the connection, creation of playlists with the help of AI, 30 hours of audiobooks per month and the ability to filter lists according to their mood.

Among the competition, a well-known name for this type of high-quality playback is Apple Music with ALAC lossless audio at up to 24bits/192 kHz. Another is Tidal, which plays the same 24bits/192 kHz, including HiRes Flac, Dolby Atmos, Sony 360 Reality Audio, Flac and Master Quality Authenticated formats. Deezer has 16bits/44.1 kHz in FLAC to deliver more quality on slower connections.

The user found the possible price of this new Spotify plan, marked at US$$19.99. This value is about 33% higher than the US$$14.99 of the traditional subscription, which in Brazil costs R$$21.90.
