Galaxy A35

The Galaxy A35, which will replace the Galaxy A34 as one of Samsung's cheapest cell phones, revealed its first specifications through a leak from Galaxy Club this past Monday (25). According to the portal, the new cell phone will feature a new 50MP camera, which could perhaps match the Galaxy A55.

This could mean that the value-for-money model will have more features in common with the higher-end products in the lineup. Replacing the Galaxy A34's 48MP sensor with a new 50MP unit, the new mid-range handset could ensure high-quality photos and video recording, especially in night scenes.

There is still no information about possible changes to the wide-angle and macro lens sensors, but it is likely that these components will be reused to reduce production costs and ensure more affordable prices for consumers. The Galaxy A35 should also keep the 13MP front sensor from the Galaxy A34, but the manufacturer may be preparing software improvements to help the sensor utilize its full potential.

Release date not scheduled

It's still too early to confirm the Galaxy A35's launch date, but according to the Korean company's launch schedule for several years, the mid-priced phone will likely launch alongside the Galaxy A55 in the first quarter of next year.

Notably, the predecessor Galaxy A34 features a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2340 pixels), 120Hz refresh rate, and a teardrop notch to house the 13MP front camera. This model features the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 platform and 256GB of storage with options for up to 8GB of RAM. In Brazil, the recommended price starts at R$2,299, but you can now also find the cell phone in the R$1,500 range.

Galaxy A55 will have Exynos chipset

Samsung has been using Exynos chipsets in its devices for several years now. For example, we have its own Galaxy A50, Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A54, launched this year as the Korean company's flagships in the segment. Even so, many users are abandoning Samsung chips and opting for Qualcomm solutions.

It seems that the Koreans know this and don't care, because according to new information, the Galaxy A55 will be another mid-range product with an Exynos chip. According to information obtained by GalaxyClub, the Galaxy A55 could launch with an Exynos 1480 next year. It found evidence that the phone was being tested with a processor codenamed S5E8845. The Exynos 1280 is codenamed S5E8825 and the Exynos 1380 is identified as S5E8835. So, logically, the S5E8845 code refers to the Exynos 1480, which is internally called Rose. In terms of photography, the Galaxy A55 should be equipped with a 50-megapixel main sensor like its predecessor. Details about the auxiliary and front sensors were not disclosed.
