Samsung Recycles
In addition to setting a goal to reduce environmental impact and use components made from recycled materials, Samsung recognizes the importance of encouraging consumers to adopt increasingly sustainable habits when developing the latest mobile devices. That’s why Samsung Recycle offers an easy and free way to get rid of all brands of electronics and appliances.
With the Samsung program, people can easily and environmentally friendly dispose of laptops, tablets, smartphones, TVs and even consumer electronics of any brand. To do this, users can visit Samsung stores or technical support and place small and medium-sized devices in a collection box.
On the other hand, large items are collected directly from the consumer's home, after prior agreement. This is a strategy by the brand to protect the environment, together with its customers. There are ESG initiatives that focus on sustainability above all else, but it is also important that the entire community has these concerns at home.
In Brazil, the reverse logistics program has been reaching more people since 2017. Proof of this is that in the first half of 2023, the initiative recorded an increase of 291% in the global collection of electronic waste compared to the same period of the previous year.
In total, there are more than 350 collection points for small and medium-sized electronic devices throughout Brazil. In addition, there are collection times for large household appliances of all brands.

Samsung has qualified partners and service providers licensed by the competent environmental authorities to process data collected from users' homes. After this first stage, the collected waste undergoes a safe and rigorous process of separation, dismantling, shredding and sorting.
Finally, everything that can be recycled is properly processed and transformed by qualified companies. It is then reintroduced as raw material into the production chain according to its unique characteristics. Other non-recyclable materials are disposed of appropriately and ecologically correct.
