Journal App

One of the new features of this version is the creation of the Journal, which will be a kind of diary. The application will use the user's photos as a basis to suggest memorable moments. Through this diary, the user will be able to write messages that can be read later and make notes about the photos, songs or events.

The application will be protected with end-to-end encryption and only the account owner will be able to access it, keeping information protected.

Contact Card

With this new feature, users will be able to create a visual identity for their own contact. They will be able to create a poster with a personal photo or avatar, color the background and apply custom typography.

This poster will be the user's contact card and will appear on the screen when he receives a call.

Keyboard

With this new update, Apple intends to make the keyboard's auto-correction more accurate, as iOS 17 will learn as the user types. Changed words will be marked, so that it is possible to know what was corrected in the text. If the user prefers to keep the original text, they will only need to press the revert button, which will appear above the modified word.

StandBy

With the new version of the system, the iPhone will have a new appearance when it is charging. By turning the device horizontally while it is plugged in, the screen will go to sleep and show useful information to the user.

It is expected to look like a watch, as the function is based on the Apple Watch's StandBy.

FaceTime

Among the features available in the update is the ability for users to record a video or audio message for missed FaceTime calls. The feature will work in the same way as VoiceMail, but with video as well.

Crab

With iOS 17, activating Siri will be simpler. You will no longer need to say “Hey Siri” to activate voice assistance. Just say “Siri” and it will be activated. Another new feature is that users will be able to send more than one request to Siri, without having to reactivate it for each request.

AirDrop

Apple also plans to simplify the way AirDrop works. Now, you only need to bring the two devices closer together to share. Furthermore, once you start the transfer, it won't stop until it's finished, even if the devices move away.

Another new feature is NameDrop, which will allow users to share their contacts simply by bringing their devices closer together, as well as sharing files via AirDrop.
