TikTok is a short video app that combines content creation with the dynamics of a social network, and has been gaining popularity among young audiences. With features that include likes, followers and views, the app has won over a niche audience due to its unlimited opportunities for entertainment and self-expression.

However, amidst a variety of information, the platform has also raised concerns regarding the exposure of children and adolescents to inappropriate content. For this, TikTok has a solution and you won't even need to touch your child's phone every day. Amazing, isn't it!? But, before anything else, it's important to remember that TikTok is only allowed for people over the age of 13.

Parental Control on Instagram

Instagram has the Family Center, a space that allows parents to supervise their children's accounts. Parents can check the amount of time their teenagers are spending online, set time limits and establish specific times when they can use the app.

The Family Center also has guidelines on how parents can best communicate with the teenagers about their internet usage. You can also receive notifications when teens report an account or post, including information about the reported content, see which accounts they follow, and see which accounts follow them.

The section can be accessed through the profile, by clicking on the three dashes and “Supervision”, after that just start the process and send the request.
