Spotify releases a retrospective of the songs you listened to the most throughout 2024; make yours
It's that time of year when Spotify invites its users to take a nostalgic journey through the music and podcasts that marked 2024.
The long-awaited Spotify Wrapped is now available, featuring details about your most-listened-to tracks, artists, albums, and episodes. It’s the perfect opportunity to relive special moments enjoyed with your favorite playlists.
Wrapped is presented in an interactive way, as a series of stories within the app. In it, you can check interesting data, such as the total minutes spent listening to music, the most musical day of the year and the number of tracks played during the last 12 months.
What’s new on Spotify Wrapped 2024
This amp's feature highlights your most listened to music and presents a Top 5 personalized, with those tracks that were real hits in your routine.
This year, Spotify introduced a feature called “musical obsession”, which explores the phases that defined your 2024 through the songs that marked each period. You can discover up to three distinct phases, allowing for a fun reflection on how your musical tastes evolved throughout the year.
An interesting new feature is the integration with the TikTok, which allows you to create a video commenting on your musical retrospective. At the end of the stories, just tap “Share”, select TikTok and follow the instructions to create unique content and share it with your friends.
As is tradition, Wrapped includes the playlist “Your Top Songs 2024”, with all the songs you listened to the most. It is a personalized collection that rescues the sounds that were part of your daily life and that will certainly continue to accompany special moments.
Making your special retrospective
So, Wrapped is available for Android and iPhone (iOS) devices with the latest version of the app. To check out your retrospective, just follow these simple steps:
- Open Spotify and tap the “Retrospective” icon at the top.
- Then click on “Your Retrospective”.
- That's it! Now just explore the information about your musical year.
After viewing your retrospective, you can share it directly on WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), or even save it to your phone to show your friends.
Spotify is not alone in this trend. Other apps, such as Apple Music, Deezer and YouTube Music, also offer annual retrospectives. However, Spotify’s Wrapped stands out for its interactive and creative experience, which transforms data into a truly personal celebration.
So, how about checking out what marked your musical 2024 and sharing those memories with the world? After all, music is much more than sound; it is emotion, memory and connection.
