Check out the rumors about the specifications of the new OnePlus. The device should be foldable.
On the eve of its possible launch, the OnePlus Open was spotted in the hands of an Indian actress, showing off a very special aspect of its design. The brand's first foldable device, the device is expected to focus on camera quality, featuring a huge module to house the lens, and also combining high-quality materials in its construction.
What's even more interesting is that this new feature has already been mentioned on the company's US support page, suggesting that its debut may indeed be imminent.

OnePlus Foldable
The device was spotted in the hands of Indian actress Anushka Sharma, giving us a glimpse of its overall appearance and some of its features. The camera first catches the eye because of the huge circular module that houses it.
The panel takes up nearly the entire top half of the phone's body and appears to be made up of three lenses, possibly a main lens, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a periscope telephoto lens. You can also see the "H" for Hasselblad. This suggests the famous camera brand's tweaks here, with the flash being located in the top left corner. Perhaps the components are separated to make more room for the lenses.
Other structures
These images effectively confirm the unique look highlighted in recent leaks, while also giving a better idea of the size of the phone, which is believed to be quite large. Further shedding light on the impending launch, leaker Ishan Agarwal spotted an explicit mention of the OnePlus mobile Open the manufacturer's support page.
It appears that consumers who purchase a flip phone are entitled to receive a replacement device if a malfunction occurs within a year of the phone's release. This is a much larger benefit than companies like Samsung, which only offer flexible screen replacements within a warranty period. This could indicate that OnePlus is confident in the Open's durability, but it's still a concern, especially considering the foldable panel.
Depending on the price and where it will be sold, this new phone could put pressure on Samsung. Samsung still dominates the foldable device market, as it has no major competitors globally. Most of the models that have the potential to be major competitors to the Korean products are only available in China or other Asian markets.
Device launch
According to rumors, after several delays, the OnePlus Open will finally be officially announced on October 19 and will come with a premium package. In addition to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, this launch features a 6.3-inch AMOLED external display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 7.8-inch AMOLED internal display also with 120Hz, 16GB of RAM, 256GB of storage and another 4,800mAh with 67W charging.
The highlight of the specs is the camera setup, which consists of a 48MP main lens, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The manufacturers will be aggressive with the pricing to attract buyers from Samsung models. The OnePlus Open may retail for US$1,500 (roughly R$7,550), which is around US$200 cheaper than the US$1,699 (roughly R$8,550) of the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
