Even without confirmation from Apple, a lot of information about the new models has been leaked, and according to rumors, one of the main new features would be the change in the name of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which will now be called the iPhone 15 Ultra.

iPhone 15
According to rumors circulating on the internet, the new iPhones will have several improvements over the older models. These improvements include the presence of action buttons, a more elegant design with rounded corners and the presence of Dynamic Island technology in all models.
One of the biggest experts on the subject of iPhone, Mark Gurman, released information about a possible change in the name Pro Max, which will be called Ultra in this generation. With this change, the company would be considering adapting its line of cell phones to other devices of the brand. The brand's most advanced line of smartwatches is called Apple Watch Ultra.
The information, however, is not confirmed and there is a possibility that the change will only happen with the launch of the iPhone 16. Therefore, the change will, in fact, only be confirmed at launch.
Recent leaks have also shown images of the new Pro Max model's cases. One detail caught the eye in the images: the space dedicated to the silent mode switch has become larger. If the case really represents the model's design, the company will do away with the silent mode switch and replace it with a customizable button. This will allow it to be used for different functions, such as activating battery saving mode, using the Apple Pay and also activate silent mode.
New processor
The iPhone 15 Pro Max or Ultra is expected to come equipped with the A17 Bionic processor. Rumors indicate that the chip is superior to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, its competitor from Qualcomm.
According to leaked information, the new processor could be up to 24% more powerful than the A16 Bionic, used in the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models. One problem, however, would be that the performance upgrade could be causing energy efficiency issues in the devices. With this, according to the information, Apple would even have to reduce the processor's capacity to be able to solve problems with the battery.
Camera
Analyst Jeff Pu also provided some information about the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and stated that the model should be the brand's first to receive a periscopic lens. The lens will guarantee a six-times optical zoom, being able to compete with some Android models that already have the technology.
Other leaked information indicates that the lens will come from a partnership with LG, and that the company will change the sensor currently used by the 48 MP Sony IMX903, ensuring better light capture, even in darker environments.
Launch
The launch of the new models is expected to take place by the end of September. According to leaked information, the event is expected to take place from the 13th. The only year in which the brand's launch did not take place in September was 2020, due to the pandemic. Therefore, the event took place in October of that year.
Price
There is still no official information about the prices of the cell phones. However, the expectation is that the devices will be more expensive than those in the 14 line, launched last year.
