Learn how to access deleted messages from the app. Watch the tutorial.
How many times have you been surprised when someone sent you a message on WhatsApp and then deleted it? The truth is that this WhatsApp feature has been a great solution for when we send the wrong message, but it also causes a lot of anxiety about knowing what the person deleted. The idea of not knowing what the message contained leaves some users distressed.
But that may not be a problem anymore, as there is a solution for this kind of situation. There is a simple trick available, but it is only for Android device users. Unfortunately, this “workaround” will not benefit anyone who uses iOS (iPhone) this time. Here’s how to access deleted messages. Luckily, you don’t need a third-party app to view deleted messages in Messenger chats.
How can I read deleted WhatsApp messages?
Just follow this simple and easy step-by-step guide to read your messages even if they have been deleted by the sender. Check it out below.
- On Android smartphones, go to the menu and select Settings.
- Then look for the “Notifications” option.
- Click Advanced Settings in the new window.
- Then search for “Notification History” and click on it. Tip: You can easily find your options by typing “notification history” directly into the search bar.
- Now, enable history with the first option that appears.
Does the function actually work?
After that, all newly received messages (including deleted messages from WhatsApp chats) will appear in the same menu. You can view your notification history simply by following the same path in your phone's settings. Please note that the procedure to activate the feature may vary depending on the model of your Android device. However, most devices follow the same command line. Pretty simple, right?
New App Feature
WhatsApp announced this Wednesday (13) this week that it is introducing a channels tool in its messaging application. According to Meta, the new feature aims to allow users to receive up-to-date information about organizations, sports teams, artists, thought leaders, and more directly on WhatsApp, while also promising greater privacy. Channels are very similar to existing features and apps like Telegram and Instagram. Profile owners interact with members through messages and share updates and various content privately with their followers.
According to WhatsApp, channels are separate from other Messenger conversations. In addition, who a user follows is not visible to other followers. Users can find channels to follow. Channels are automatically filtered by the account's country of origin. You can also see new and more active channels based on the number of followers.
Participants in a given WhatsApp channel can react to messages sent using emojis, provide feedback, and view the total number of reactions. Their reactions will not be visible to other followers. In addition, administrators will soon be able to make changes to updates for up to 30 days. After this period, the information will be automatically deleted from Meta’s servers. Another important point: when a user forwards an update to a chat or group, the message includes a link to the corresponding channel.
Partner channels
The launch will initially take place in 10 countries, but the channel will soon reach all users. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has already created a dedicated section to share information about the company and new products. Partners of the new tool in Brazil include TechTudo, the Ministry of Finance, the Desenrola Brasil Program, CONMEBOL Libertadores, NBA Brazil and moderator Luciano Huck. According to WhatsApp, if the feature is not yet available, users can sign up for a waiting list to receive notifications when a channel goes live.
