Samsung wants to launch new cameras on its smartphones. The quality will be incredible.
It seems Samsung is still not satisfied with the megapixel count of its smartphones. According to a new rumor, South Korea will offer a new sensor that will more than double the resolution used in the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which already has an insane 200MP, and will jump to over 440MP.
The rumors emerged early this past Thursday morning (17) through Revegnus. In a post on the social network X (formerly Twitter), he said that Samsung is preparing three sensors for mass production next year. Read more and understand the rumors.

Promising rumors
The first two rumors posted on the networks are nothing more than updates to the current sensors (GN5 and HP6) that should come with improvements to existing image performance, but the main focus is on the first-generation ISOCELL HU1. There is no way of knowing which smartphones will feature a 440MP sensor, or when information about sensor size or pixel size will be released. If manufacturers decide to implement them in their devices, it is likely that all of the sensors mentioned above will be in production from mid-2024, so their use will most likely happen at the launch of the Galaxy S25 Ultra or the next model.
On the other hand, the 108MP and 200MP sensors have already been seen first time in phones from other brands, with the Mi Note 10 using ISOCELL HMX and the Moto X30 Pro using ISOCELL HP1. More information about Samsung's future sensors should emerge in the coming months as the components move closer to mass production.

Approximately March 2024 is the most likely release date for the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G. This is the most recent release schedule that has been followed closely by the new series of devices. The devices are usually released shortly after the arrival of the flagships, the Galaxy S, which happens at the beginning of the year. But that's not always the case. The Galaxy A51 5G was released in April 2020, and the A50 in February 2019. Samsung has been more consistent in recent years, and the series has become an increasingly important part of the brand's launch schedule.
