WhatsApp starts banning people who use WhatsApp Plus

WhatsApp is taking an extreme step to restrict the use of third-party apps like WhatsApp Plus and GB WhatsApp (modified applications).

The instant messaging app has already started banning users who use third-party apps like GBWhatsApp, WhatsApp gb transparent and YOWhatsApp on your Android devices.

WhatsApp WhatsApp has requested its users not to use third-party apps as they are not developed by it. And these apps also violate WhatsApp's Terms of Services and are not safe for its users. On its website, WhatsApp said:

Announcement

If you’ve received an in-app message saying that your account is “temporarily banned,” it means that you’re probably using an unsupported version of WhatsApp instead of the official WhatsApp app. If this is the case, you’ll need to download the official app to continue using WhatsApp.

Unsupported apps like WhatsApp Plus and GB WhatsApp are modified versions of WhatsApp. These unofficial apps are developed by third parties and violate our Terms of Service. WhatsApp does not support these third-party apps because we cannot validate their security practices.

Why People Use GB WhatsApp etc. (Modified Apps) and Why These Apps Are Being Banned

Although the company has done a good job in designing the app and adding features, there are still many features missing from the app.

In an attempt to fill this gap, developers have started creating modified versions of WhatsApp that have gone above and beyond to ensure that users get the features that are not present in the real app.

While this has worked in favor of users, modified apps pose a significant threat to WhatsApp and its users, also in terms of privacy and security. This is why the company has decided to ban these types of apps.
