Apps are using AI to improve user experience. Find out how!

Technology is advancing and so are the ways of communicating and relating. Nowadays, many people are looking for a partner to share their lives with, or just to flirt with, but when that doesn't work out "face to face", there is an ideal solution, even for the shyest people: dating apps.

And with this advancement in technology, we have been hearing a lot about artificial intelligence, which can help humans perform various everyday tasks in a simple and practical way, and this is no different in the field of love. Dating apps and AI

Many dating apps are starting to integrate AI in their products, seeking to make it easier for users. This is the case of Tinder, Hinge, which have been around for a while, and Blush, Aimm, Rizz and Teaser AI, which are new and are offering completely different approaches to online dating than we already know.

Some of these apps use personality tests and body type analysis to train their AI-powered systems, promising a better chance of finding a user who is a perfect match. Others use AI to get better answers to questions from a match.

Search

According to a 2023 Pew Research survey, about 501,300 adults under 30 have used dating sites or apps. Of that number, nearly half reported that the experience was negative.

What makes people most dissatisfied with apps is the fact that the conversations are empty and there is little correspondence from other people. Apps that use AI believe that this can be solved with technology, making people less alone and promoting deeper connections in an easier way.

A survey conducted by cybersecurity company Kaspersky showed that 75% of dating platform users are willing to use ChatGPT, to appear more interesting.

How AI is acting

If you don’t know how to start a conversation on a dating app, you can try Rizz.app, Teaser AI or YourMove.AI. These apps allow users to upload words or screenshots, with witty responses generated by AI, which can be used to create your profile, respond to someone else or keep a conversation going.

The Iris and Aimm apps use AI to determine the compatibility of a potential couple, using data collected to see how compatible the two people are. Iris shows people’s faces and the user can click “Pass”, “Maybe” or “Like”. The photos are generated by AI. With this, the app uses the information to understand the user’s physical type, offering matches according to what was collected, reducing the chances of rejection. Aimm works the same way, finding the best matches for the user, through AI.

Blush is set up much like a regular dating app, where users can swipe, chat, and go on dates. The app’s audience is mostly men, with an average age of 20, who are looking to connect with other people. When users log in to the app, they are prompted with a warning that the AI may say inappropriate or false things.
