Amid the growing search for supplementary income in Brazil, Mercado Pago, the financial arm of Mercado Livre, recently held an online event to present the advantages of its Renda na Mão Resale Program.
This initiative aims to help Brazilians earn a significant extra income by reselling Point card machines, an official Mercado Pago product.
According to a survey carried out by the Sustainable Cities Institute in partnership with Ipec (Intelligence in Research and Strategic Consulting), around 31% of Brazilians needed to seek a complementary activity in 2023 to balance their finances.

Although this number has decreased compared to 2022, when 45% of the population resorted to extra income, the demand for additional income generating opportunities is still high.
Aware of this scenario, Mercado Pago organized the event “Your Financial Freedom”, broadcast live last Tuesday, August 20th.
The goal was to present updates to the Renda na Mão Reseller Program, which offers financial incentives to Point card machine resellers. Launched in 2019, the program has undergone several improvements to attract more participants and provide a viable alternative for extra income, whether for individuals or companies.

Flexibility and Autonomy in the Reseller Program
Mercado Pago highlights flexibility as one of the program’s main attractions. Resellers have the freedom to define their work schedules and the way they conduct their resale activities.
This allows each participant to adjust their performance according to their needs and availability, receiving the sales value within five days directly into their Mercado Pago account.
Wanilton Oliveira Santos, a self-employed worker from Aracaju, Sergipe, is one of the program's successful examples. He began reselling Point machines in 2020, initially working sporadically, only when approached by customers.
Over time, he realized that he could maximize his earnings by establishing fixed hours for service and sales, which allowed him to be more organized and achieve better results.
“Setting a schedule was crucial to my success in the program. This allowed me to balance my routine and increase my sales. The flexibility offered by the program allows me to adapt my work to my life, which is essential,” says Wanilton.
Extra Income Potential: Up to R$100K per Month
Mercado Pago's resale program also stands out for the potential for extra income that it can provide to its participants.
Although the income obtained varies according to individual performance and the volume of resales, Mercado Pago indicates that it is possible to reach up to R$100,000 per month in additional earnings, as long as the reseller meets the rules and goals established by the program.
For many resellers, such as Wanilton Oliveira Santos, the profits from reselling Point machines have surpassed their other sources of income. “In several months, the extra income I received from the program was higher than my main salary. This allowed me to fulfill several dreams, such as changing vehicles and purchasing new electronics for my home,” celebrates the reseller.
