The new iPhones have only recently hit the market, but they are already causing headaches for users. In addition to the well-known overheating problem, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have also been irritating due to the low quality of the top speaker.

Some users report that they have been facing the problem since their first day with the phone, with the audio sounding as if the speaker had been damaged by water. Speaker problems

In his report, a user claims that he took his cell phone to an official Apple service center and the technicians analyzed the case. In conclusion, they agreed that the audio really distorts at high volumes.

However, Apple refused to replace the device that showed the defect, since there is no “physical damage”. Therefore, the only solution for users is to wait for an official statement from the company.

In addition to the problems reported in the premium models, users of the standard models also noticed inconsistencies in their devices. There are more than 70 reports on Reddit with complaints about the phones that were launched on September 12th.

Rumors

According to rumors from user RGcloudS, which were published in X, the iPhone 15 batteries have simpler components that cause them to deteriorate faster and only withstand 600 charge cycles before starting to lose energy more quickly.

These complaints, which were common among iPhone 14 users, are due, according to the author of the text, because the batteries with 500 or 600 charge cycles are the same ones used in high-performance products with power delivery of up to 100 W.

The iPhone 15 does not fall into this category, and by using batteries with 600 charge cycles, Apple shows that it wanted to reduce manufacturing costs to keep prices unchanged – at least for consumers outside Brazil.

Overheating

Also according to user reports, the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max are overheating, reaching temperatures close to 50°C. Experts at Android Authority performed temperature tests and compared the thermals of the iPhone 15 Pro with the Galaxy S23 Ultra and Pixel 7 Pro in various applications.

In the experiments conducted, Apple phones were always the hottest. However, the temperature did not reach dangerous levels that could harm the physical health of users. Experts predicted that since the Pro models are equipped with a titanium body, overheating would occur due to the design of the device, making it difficult to dissipate heat.

Apple told Forbes that the iPhone 15 family may experience overheating issues in some situations and that the fix will be implemented in a system update. The update will arrive for customers who purchased the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
