New iPhone to be launched this week. In addition to new features, it should have a higher price tag. Find out everything!
Apple will launch its new line of iPhones this Tuesday (12). The iPhone 15 is highly anticipated and should present the biggest change in the cell phone's design in 11 years. The launch event, which has the slogan "desire for wonders", will take place at the company's headquarters in Cupertino, California, and will be broadcast live on the company's website starting at 2 pm, Brasília time.
According to rumors, the company will bring new features to the battery, cameras, screen and charging port of the phones, which should become USB-C. If confirmed, this will be the first time that the phones will feature this type of input. In addition to the 15th generation phones, Apple is also expected to launch iOS 17 and its new Apple Watches.

Sales
The new generation of cell phones from Apple promises to be one of the most important for the company, and for that reason, it has high expectations. The company hopes that the new phones will overcome a slowdown in smartphone sales and is betting on a 'supercycle' of replacement, increasing prices to maintain its profit margin and adding features already seen in current phones that are already successful.
The launch comes at a time of slowing sales of the family of iPhone 14. According to a financial statement presented by the company, at the beginning of August, in the second quarter of this year, the brand registered US$$38.7 billion in sales, a drop of 2.4% compared to the same period last year, when the value was US$$40.7 billion.
The company's CEO, Tim Cook, explained that the slowdown occurred in the US, the company's home country and main market. He attributes the poor results to the appreciation of the dollar, but also to retail, which has been demanding fewer devices, which is an uncomfortable situation for the company, which has suffered from production delays and suffered sales losses in the past.
Apple expects to manufacture 85 million new units of the launch. The number follows the same pattern as last year. With this, the company expects the same demand for the new phones.
iPhone 15
Apple is expected to follow suit and launch four new smartphone models. The two most expensive models are expected to be the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, while the 15 and 15 Plus will be the cheapest.
Apple is also rumored to use a titanium finish on the Pro models, which will make them lighter. In addition, for the two more expensive models, the company is expected to introduce thinner bezels around the screen and equip them with the brand's new processor, the A17 Bionic. This processor is considered one of the most powerful to date.
The 15 Pro Max model is expected to feature a more powerful optical zoom camera, which will allow for higher-quality images of distant objects. The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are expected to feature the A16 processor and Dynamic Island, which are already part of the iPhone 14 Pro.
As the main new feature, all new models must now have a USB-C input, due to a determination made by the European Union last year, which requires cell phones, cameras, tablets and other devices to support this type of loading until 2024.
Values
The new phones are expected to arrive with an increase of more or less US$$100 in value, which is around R$$500. The 1TB iPhone 14 Pro Max costs around US$$1,599, R$$15,499, in Brazil.
