Around 16 security flaws, which could cause problems for users, were detected.
Updating your mobile device's operating system is extremely important, whether it's Android or iOS. Updates allow for the correction of problems in the device's tools and functions, as well as fixing flaws in the user's data security and privacy, protecting them against hacker attacks.
Fixing these security flaws has been a priority for cell phone manufacturers, who are increasingly investing in solving the problem. That's why Apple recently released a new iOS update to fix several security flaws in the brand's devices.
If you have a device from this brand, keep an eye on the main fixes in the new update, which will ensure greater security for your device.

Update
Apple Apple Inc. released iOS 16.6 on Monday (24), with software updates for Macs, iPads, Watches and Apple TV, in order to fix 16 security flaws, two of which are critical. The company even stated that the flaws were being used in hacker attacks, with theft of data from users of the devices. Therefore, updating the system becomes important and must be done urgently. The updates, which are free, are now available to all users of the brand's devices.
The main reasons for the attention to fixing the problems are flaws in the system kernel, which has a loophole that allows applications to change the state of the component. This flaw had already been fixed since the iOS 15.7.1 update, but has received a boost in this new update.
The same happened with a certain vulnerability in the platform's web page display system, WebKit, which could lead to the execution of malicious codes and had also already been addressed in an update, but ended up causing problems for some users.
These two security flaws have been patched so that they can no longer be used in the manufacturer's devices. The other 14 flaws are related to other flaws in WebKit, the processing engine focused on artificial intelligence, in the Neural Engine, and in the operating system kernel of the devices, which were enabling several scams against users.
These flaws are zero-day vulnerabilities that were not even known to the platform's developers before they were discovered by security researchers. In the case of this recent update, there is no inclusion of new features and tools for the devices, there is only a fix for the problems already mentioned.
iOS 17
Some new features, however, should reach users in the coming weeks, with the launch of yet another update, iOS 17. There is still no official date for the arrival of the new version, but the launch is expected to take place by the end of September.
The new version of the system should bring features such as a new view for contacts; more interactive widgets; faster operation of the virtual assistant; text autocorrection; automatic completion of verification codes; offline maps; updates on FaceTime; NameDrop, which will allow contact, email and other information to be shared more quickly; and a new application, where the user will be able to record some moments of their routine, in a kind of “modern diary”.
