New feature on Instagram

Among the options available in the privacy feature on Instagram, You can let everyone see your likes on posts, restrict them to people you follow being able to see them, and choose an option that leaves likes visible only to your best friends. The latter hides likes from other users on the social network.

This new feature is expected to be implemented because of the platform's intentions to preserve the privacy of its users a little more. However, there is no guarantee that the function will be available soon, as it is still in the testing phase by the company.

As a result, the feature may undergo some changes before it reaches the point of being officially launched and released to app users. Therefore, the only solution now is to wait for the new feature to arrive or not, or for the company to talk about it.

Other new features in the app

THE Meta company is also working on the possibility of offering users the option to record Reels with a maximum duration of up to 10 minutes. The current limit is only 3 minutes, and as a result, many creators need to divide their content into 2 or more parts. The new feature was discovered by Alessandro Paluzzi, who is known for checking the app's code for new features.

So far, there is no forecast for when the increase in time will be released to users. Despite this, Meta confirmed that it is testing this new feature internally. Therefore, the expectation is that the new feature will not take long to be implemented.

Recent news also talks about a possible termination of the Instagram and Messenger integration from Facebook, also from the company Meta. This information was also leaked by Alessandro Paluzzi. As a result, it will no longer be possible to respond to Facebook Messenger contacts via Instagram.

He also posted a screenshot that shows his statement. In the image, there is a conversation window with a contact and a notice informing about the end of this possibility. According to him, the integration already has an end date and should last until the middle of next month, October.

The integration between the two apps began in 2020 and has already undergone several updates with improvements and the addition of new features. Meta has not taken a position on the matter. Currently, there is a way to do this disintegration manually, even before the partnership between the apps is terminated by the responsible company.
