How to post photos
Posting a photo on Pinterest from your cell phone is very simple and requires just a few steps.
- Just open the app on Android cell phone or iOS, press the + icon, located at the top of the screen and choose the “Pin” option;
- Choose the photo from your gallery to be posted. You can only add one file at a time. If you wish, you can capture a photo on the spot, using the camera button, or using the globe button, to add a photo with an internet link;
- After that, just click on “Next”;
- Fill in the title, description, target website and alternative text and click “Next”;
- Click on the folder where the photo will be saved, or create a new folder, after which the photo will be published immediately on the platform.
How to post videos
Only Business users can post videos on Pinterest. This option is free and offers exclusive tools for those who use the network as a digital marketing tool. To convert your account to Business, follow these steps:
- Open your profile, click on the three dots and then on “Settings”;
- Go to “Account Management”, click on “Convert to a business account” and confirm the action.
- Add your profile name, website, describe your company and indicate whether you want to run ads on the platform;
- Click “Next” and finish.
Now that your account is a business account, you can post videos like this:
- Click on the + symbol, and select the “Idea Pin” option;
- Select the video you want to post from the gallery and click “Next”. Make any edits you want and click “Next” again;
- Add a title, description, cover, video details, and a redirect link, and choose a folder to save the pin to. You can also schedule the post and tag users;
- Then click publish and you're done.
How to post GIFs
Post GIFs by computer It is better than posting on your cell phone, because when you save a GIF on your cell phone, it can be transformed into an image, which can interfere with the content to be published. Therefore, it is ideal to do the procedure on your computer.
- Access the website and log in to your account;
- Click on “Create” and then on “Create Pin”;
- Choose the GIF you want and add title, description, alt text and destination link;
- Choose the folder where it will be saved and click “Publish”.
