Connected Citizen Program
The Government of Pernambuco launched the Connected Citizen Program in 2018. This program provides free internet access to the state's population who cannot afford to have their own data plan.
With the aim of providing intellectual growth to users and consequently increasing economic growth, the Government made low investment available for the Program, as there were already idle links installed in State Agencies.
In this way, they were able to take advantage of the resources already available, in addition to improving the state's economy.
The Program was designed by the State Information Technology Agency (ATI), an agency linked to the Administration Secretariat (SAD).
The service will be available to users during the period when the Government is not in active hours.
It will operate from Monday to Friday, from 6 pm to 6 am, and 24 hours during weekends, holidays and optional holidays.
Services provided
The services available on the platform are divided into 10 themes differentiated by colors. They are:
