Foldable cell phones
Foldable phones are all the rage and are a relatively new technology. Because of this, these models attract attention wherever they go, not only because of their looks, but also because of their price! This year, manufacturers like Samsung and Motorola are investing in this type of phone. Samsung recently launched the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5, while Motorola has the Razr 40 Ultra.
The models have a foldable design and an external display, making the device easier to use and more versatile. The Razr 40 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 have similar features and can be found for prices starting at R$1,999,499.
Special editions
One strategy used by manufacturers to attract consumers is to launch themed versions of cell phones. Partnerships usually involve some type of promotion for third-party products, such as movies, games, anime, and more, and the cell phones come with different covers or even exclusive gifts. As a result, the devices arrive to the consumer in special boxes, making the experience more attractive.
Among the models that have already gained themed versions are the OPPO Reno 7 Pro, from League of Legends; the Redmi Note 12 Turbo from Harry Potter; Galaxy Z Flip 3 in a Pokémon edition; the Realme 10 Pro 5G from Coca-Cola; Realme GT Neo 3 from Naruto and the Realme GT Neo 3T with a Dragon Ball version.
Cell phone with rotating camera
In 2019, many smartphones had rotating cameras that gave consumers the same quality as rear lenses for selfies. Companies like Xiaomi and Asus took a chance on this type of model and introduced rotating cameras that didn't take up space on the display.
Among the models that received the rotating camera are the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro, the Zenfone 6 and the OPPO N1.
Dual display
Another very different concept was the dual display, that is, the device came with two screens. Among the models with this concept is the YotaPhone 2, from the Yota brand. It had a 5-inch AMOLED Full HD screen and another 4.7-inch screen, which was intended for reading, as if it were a Kindle. It allowed the user to use traditional apps on the front, while the back was used for tools such as calls, messages, calls and alarms.
Touch phone with button
BlackBerry manufactured several smartphones that combined analog cell phones with a touch screen display. This led to the launch of the BlackBerry Passport, which had a square screen and a physical QWERTY keyboard. The device was intended to attract users who communicated via email and who used their cell phones for work.
In addition to the brand, others such as Nokia, Samsung and LG also created models that combined the two functions.
curved cell phone
A cell phone with a curved screen also hit the market, which was designed to fit better on the face when answering calls. Among the manufacturers that bet on the model are Samsung and LG.
Car cell phone
A device with a car design has also hit the market. The F18 Mini Flip and Newmind f15 1.77 flip models fit in the palm of your hand and are aimed at children. When closed, they turn into cars that look like those sold by Ferrari.
