Learn more about Motorola's new launch. Meet the Edge 40 Neo.

The Motorola Edge 40 Neo was officially launched in Brazil last Thursday (28). The successor to the Edge 30 Neo, part of the brand's premium line, has already arrived on the Brazilian market with an initial price of R$ 2,799, but is already available for R$ 2,519.10 on the manufacturer's website.

The smartphone is part of the brand's partnership with Pantone and comes in Black Beauty (black), Caneel Bay (dark blue) and Soothing Sea (light blue). The device features a dual camera setup with a 50 MP main lens and a 13 MP hybrid lens, as well as a 32 MP front camera. In addition, the smartphone is equipped with a MediaTek chip and hits the market with Android 13 and 5G. Take a look at these and other Edge 40 specifications in the lines below.

Edge 40 Neo

The Edge 40 has a pOLED technology screen with Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels distributed across 6.55 inches. In addition, the screen also has a refresh rate of 144 Hz, a value higher than the market average, but common in top-of-the-line Motorola phones.

The device is IP68 certified and is guaranteed to be resistant to water, dirt, sand and can be submerged in fresh water up to 1.5 m deep for 30 minutes. Available in three different colors, the Edge 40 is lightweight and compact with dimensions of 159.63 x 71.99 x 7.79 mm and weighing 170 g. The device comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 7030 octa-core processor, which promises good performance even for more advanced tasks.

Sufficient memory

To work with the chip, the Motorola brand made available 8 GB of RAM with the option to expand by 2 GB using the RAM Boost feature. Launched globally in two versions, the Edge 40 arrives in Brazil with a single storage option of 256 GB, with no possibility of expansion via microSD card.

Camera game

The camera is also a strong point of this smartphone. With the dual set, it has a 50 MP main lens and another 13 MP hybrid lens that supports ultra-wide, macro and depth functions. Thus, the secondary lens is capable of taking wide-angle photos, close-up photos and portrait mode photos, respectively.

Battery and features

With a powerful 5,000 mAh battery, the cell phone will guarantee use until the end of the day, and when it's time to recharge, you can use the 68 W Turbo Power charger. The manufacturer promises to replenish 50% of energy in just 15 minutes.

In terms of connectivity, the Edge 40 Neo offers access to the 5G network, which currently has more than 10 million users in Brazil. It also has NFC for contactless payments. Finally, Motorola phones come equipped with Android 13, Google's latest system.
