Highlights

  • Innovation in Security: Secure Cell Phone reaches 1.1 million users.
  • Effective Protection: 10,000 device locks in less than a month.
  • Successful Partnership: MJSP initiative with support from Febraban and operators.
  • Technology to Your Advantage: Learn how the app turns your cell phone into a strong ally against crime.

An Impactful Partnership

Launched on December 19, Celular Seguro is the result of a collaboration between the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP), the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban) and the country's main telephone operators. The goal? To make the protection of personal data faster and more efficient after unwanted incidents with our mobile devices.

Furthermore, the heart of the system is an app, available for Android and iOS, which connects to a dedicated website. After installing the app, you register your device and can designate a “trusted person”. In fact, this person will be able to activate the lock on your device in case of theft, even if you are unable to do so in person. Thus, the program offers a practical and secure solution.

The move certainly reflects a growing concern about digital security. As users become increasingly dependent on their mobile devices, the need for protection intensifies. Although many may not realize it, the risk of having personal information compromised is a constant reality.

Ultimately, while Secure Cell Phones provide peace of mind for users, it also represents a significant step forward in the fight against digital crime. With this tool, Brazilians now have an effective way to protect their devices. However, it is important to remember that digital security is a shared responsibility and requires awareness and action from everyone.

Security at Your Fingertips

Imagine your cell phone is stolen. With Celular Seguro, you simply need to trigger an alert through the website or through a trusted person. The application turns your phone into a worthless object for criminals, blocking the device's IMEI. This blocking is communicated to Anatel and then to the carriers, who have up to 24 hours to deactivate the cell phone.

This initiative, still in the testing phase until February 9, already demonstrates enormous potential to change the way we protect our mobile devices. With Safe Cell Phone, your smartphone is not just a means of communication, but a powerful ally in your personal security.
