LuzIA
Launched in July, the virtual assistant LuzIA answers questions quickly, helping users of the messaging app. Users can use the service for free and it is capable of answering questions from various segments, such as cooking, cinema, tasks and text revisions and translations.
LuzIA works in the application through three models of AI. Through messages, it can interact through OpenAI's GPT 3.5, in addition to being able to convert audio into text through OpenAI's Whisper.
The assistant also offers additional features for its users, such as the ability to create up to 5 images per day. When it receives the message “imagine”, it is able to design and create drawings based on the user’s description.
It also has nine different personalities, writing in a similar way to a friend, a professional and even famous characters, depending on the user's command.
How to use
To take advantage of LuzIA's features, simply:
- Save the number 11 9.7255-3036 in your contact list;
- Access the app on your cell phone, whether on iOS or Android;
- Select the “New conversation” option;
- Search for the recently saved contact and start a conversation;
- After that, you can ask the virtual assistant whatever you want.
Tool creation
LuzIA was developed by 36-year-old Spanish engineer Alvaro Higes. He explained that the tool's goal is to bridge the gap between users accustomed to using AI and those unfamiliar with the tool. The project has received support from investors and is available in around 40 countries. In addition to Portuguese, the assistant is available in English, French and Spanish.
In Brazil, the tool already has more than 2 million users, with more than 42 million questions answered, 200 thousand audios transcribed and 700 thousand images generated. Among the DDDs that most contact the assistant are:
DDD 11 – metropolitan region of São Paulo;
DDD 21 – metropolitan region in Rio de Janeiro;
DDD 31 – metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte.
